How Junto collects, uses, and protects information when your team works together in the app.
Junto is a workspace for project collaboration — to-dos, message boards, files, schedules, and chat. This policy explains what we collect and why, and the choices you have. We aim to collect only what we need to run the service dependably, and to keep it in plain language.
We collect information in three ways: what you give us, what your team gives us about you, and what we gather automatically as you use Junto.
When you accept an invitation, we receive your name, email address, and the Google account you sign in with. Your profile may also include a photo, title, and time zone that you choose to add.
Junto stores the work you put into it: to-dos, messages, comments, files and attachments, schedules, and the projects and teams you belong to. This content is owned by your workspace, not by Junto.
We automatically log activity such as pages viewed, actions taken, approximate location (from IP address), browser and device type, and timestamps. This helps us keep the service reliable and secure.
We use information to provide, maintain, and improve Junto. Specifically, to:
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the content you create to train advertising profiles.
Where the GDPR applies, we process personal data on these bases: performance of a contract (to deliver the service to your workspace), legitimate interests (to secure and improve Junto), consent (for optional communications), and legal obligation where required.
We keep workspace content for as long as your workspace is active. When content is deleted, it's removed from active systems promptly and purged from backups on a rolling schedule. If a workspace is closed, we delete or anonymize its data within 90 days, unless we're legally required to keep it longer.
We protect data in transit and at rest with industry-standard encryption, enforce least-privilege access internally, and monitor for unusual activity. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to keep your workspace safe and to notify you promptly if something goes wrong.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update most profile details directly in your account settings. For other requests, contact us and we'll respond within the timeframe the law requires.
Because your content belongs to your workspace, some requests may need to go through your workspace administrator.
Junto uses a small number of cookies that are essential to sign you in and keep your session secure, plus limited first-party analytics to understand how the product is used. We don't use third-party advertising cookies. You can control cookies through your browser, though disabling essential ones may break sign-in.
Junto may process and store data in countries other than your own. When we transfer personal data across borders, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses to protect it.
Junto is a workplace tool and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we'll delete it.
We may update this policy as Junto evolves. When we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify workspace admins. Continued use of Junto after an update means you accept the revised policy.
